Welcome to The Vitality Clinic, home of Vitality Yoga; located in the centre of Bendigo and practicing since 1992. Through Yoga, Kinesiology, Massage or Feng Shui, The Vitality Clinic offers you a means to heal yourself, to discover Vitality in your life.

Why practice Yoga?
Yoga is a valuable means of self-healing that provides physical and mental therapy through the practice of yoga postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation. The physical and emotional benefits of yoga are endless. Science has proven that yoga slows the ageing process through balancing the endocrine and nervous system which directly affect all other systems of the body. Yoga improves energy flow throughout the body, enhancing health on every level. Yoga is ever growing within Western culture as more and more students report improved health, fitness and flexibility, decreased stress levels, raised energy levels and an overall sense of well-being and calm.
Why Vitality Yoga?
The Vitality Clinic prides itself on providing a style of yoga that is relevant to modern living, addressing the demands of lifestyles today. Yoga is thousands of years old, developed when man lived in harmony with the earth; he worked and lived off the land, ate simple, unprocessed foods, slept on the earth and squatted instead of using chairs. Not only have our lifestyles changed dramatically, but so have our bodies. Yoga in its classical form can be extremely challenging for the average Westerner's busy mind, body and unconditioned spine. Vitality Yoga is based on classical yoga postures, integrating other modalities such as Kinesiology and Chinese medicine to enhance yoga’s benefits and opening yoga to a wider group of people. Vitality Yoga encourages a deep awareness within all levels of the body which empowers the benefits of yoga. Our class sizes are small so that students can challenge and extend according to their own body under careful instruction from our teachers. Students acquire tools to deal with the challenges and demands of modern life. Everyone will benefit from Vitality Yoga regardless of age, gender, fitness or flexibility.

Introductory Yoga
Our Introductory course provides a foundation for yoga practice. Over two classes, students will learn the basic premise of yoga, obtaining tools to move safely through a yoga practice with awareness and depth. You will be taught techniques to relieve tension from the areas in which we most commonly hold stress - the back, neck and shoulders. You will be guided through the beautiful Salute to the Sun sequence and learn any adjustments that may be required for your body. You will discover the mysterious power of breath and visualization to calm and pacify the mind, concluding with a serene relaxation to aid a good night’s sleep. Upon completion of this introductory course, you will feel confident and ready to join any of our general classes. Introductory classes are suitable for beginners and are also recommended for those who have practiced yoga previously but are new to Vitality.
Introductory classes run for 75mins, every Wednesday at 7.30pm      (excluding school holidays)

General Yoga
Our General yoga classes are the most popular and are the next step, following on from our introductory classes. General classes begin with preparatory postures to warm the body and settle the mind, they then move into Salute to the Sun Sequences followed by various yoga postures and concluding with meditation or relaxation. Most of these classes are led by Kehry, the senior teacher. Students leave feeling refreshed, calmer and ready to deal with the everyday demands of life once again.
General classes run for 75mins throughout the week, throughout the year. Please refer to the yoga timetable for a class time that suits you.

Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal yoga classes are dedicated to expectant mums and the babies developing within them. Our prenatal classes relieve aches in areas which are typically sore throughout pregnancy and alleviate everyday stress which can affect the unborn child. Above all, prenatal yoga prepares mothers-to-be for two of the greatest challenges of a woman’s life – childbirth and motherhood. Through yoga postures, breathing techniques, relaxation, visualizations and sound therapy, pregnant women leave prenatal yoga feeling relieved and relaxed. Our classes offer a safe and supportive environment for expectant mothers and a wonderful way to connect with other mums-to-be. Both our prenatal teachers are mothers, qualified yoga teachers and YTA accredited.
Prenatal yoga classes run for 60mins every Wednesday at 5pm (excluding school holidays). New participants should arrive at 4.45pm.
**********************************************************************************Dynamic Yoga
Dynamic yoga is a challenging class with a stronger emphasis on the physical aspects of yoga. This class is suitable for intermediate and advanced students who have a sound grasp on the importance of using the breath to stay safe within yoga practice. It is for those who have a strong familiarity with the basic yoga postures, though need not have necessarily perfected them. Students will be challenged physically and mentally, but feel refreshed and energized.
Dynamic Yoga classes run for 75mins every Tuesday at 4.45pm and Friday at 6am (excluding school holidays).

Gentle Yoga
Gentle yoga classes are suitable for beginners or for those who have chronic back or neck injury and any other physical aliments that may require a gentler practice. Gentle yoga allows students to work at their own pace and comfort and provides modifications and alternatives to classical practices. Class sizes are generally smaller so postures can be tailored to strengthen and relieve specific weak or injured areas. Gentle yoga is a restorative, healing class.

Mums ‘n’ Bubs yoga
Mums ‘n’ Bubs yoga is for mothers and their children - babies through to 3yr olds. The classes are light and informal. Children and babies can participate in the class or simply play with other children. New mothers are encouraged to involve their babies throughout the class but they may find their baby will wish to sleep beside them. This class helps mothers discover that peace and calm can be experienced, even when their child is with them.
Mums ‘n’ Bubs classes run for 60mins every Thursday at 9.30am (excluding school holidays).

Kinesiology
Kinesiology is highly successful in changing negative habits and emotions to positive, healing physical ailments and achieving successful goals. Based on the understanding that we are born to heal our own systems on all levels, Kinesiology at the Vitality Clinic combines other modalities to use muscle testing and pulse analysis, to find and remove disease causing stress in the body, thus allowing our ‘dormant’ human facility to resurface. The results are often life changing as clients discover an ability to reach heights they may never have imagined possible.

Feng Shui
Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve harmony, balance and success within you, your home and your business.
Feng Shui involves the use of geographical, psychological, philosophical, mathematical and astrological concepts to improve  the energy flow of a particular space. Energy moves in cycles which can be read and calculated in order to redirect and enhance energy through the home, increasing success, abundance and happiness in life. Feng Shui can also be used to calculate auspicious dates for the opening of new businesses, wedding dates, christenings and other important events. Our Feng Shui practitioner uses the Flying Stars method, the highest and most complex method of Feng Shui.
Clients can arrange for a consultation on site, or for a cheaper alternative, via email or mail. Download the Feng Shui consultation form to prepare for your consultation, and then make an appointment with the Vitality clinic.

Bowen Therapy

Bowen is a remedial technique that addresses key points to stimulate energy flow, triggering the body’s own healing response. Practitioners use a light touch to treat a range of ailments including chronic back and neck pain, asthma, migraines and sports injuries. The effective Bowen technique is passive and safe to practice on anybody, regardless of the severity of the ailment.

Thai Massage
Thai massage is a style of massage that prevents illness, promoting health and wellbeing. A blend of yoga, acupressure and reflexology, Thai Massage is designed to relax and open the body's natural energy flow and improve circulation throughout the body. It is also used as a treatment for a wide range of conditions. Unlike the scooping and continuous strokes of western-style massage, this particular style of Thai Massage uses shiatsu pressure points, muscle stretching and compression done in a rhythmic movement of gentle rocking. Many Thai people include Thai massage as an essential part of their monthly routine as a form of maintenance for their health. Receivers feel refreshed and energized and often this feeling continues for more than a week. Thai pyjamas will be provided for your session and your massage will be performed on a mattress on the floor.

Sessions run for 75mins but please allow an extra 15mins for preparation and brief consultation. Cost - $75.

Remedial massage
Remedial Massage treats specific ailments and injuries. It is very effective in dealing with muscular problems, loss of muscle tone and adhesions and removing physical tension in the muscles. Incorporating advanced massage techniques, it helps to speed up circulation and eliminate toxins, which can cause pain and stiffness. Other benefits include improving the skin’s elasticity and helping with the break down of fatty tissue.
Cost – 30mins $40 – 60mins $65
